Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said that the government will hold an all-party conference for the prosperity of the tourism sector. Speaking at the meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he said that an all-party conference should be held to increase the participation of the private sector in the tourism sector.
He said that a conference would be organized in Koshi Province in the upcoming Baisakh of 2082 BS. He informed that two meetings of stakeholders have been held to connect the three levels of government for the development of the tourism sector.
He said that the said conference will conclude who will do what for the development of the tourism sector. He clarified that the ministry is not involved in the development of the tourism sector. He mentioned that the government is working on making an action plan for the operation of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports. Most of the MPs in the meeting were interested in the operation of airports across the country.
