Kathmandu. President of the Joint Trade Union Coordination Center (JTUCC) Yogendra Kunwar has said that climate change has created challenges in the labor and employment sector. Speaking at a program on the impact of climate change on the labor and employment sector organized by the Joint Trade Union Coordination Center in Kathmandu on Tuesday, President Kunwar said this.

He said that the impact of climate change in the world has directly affected the employment sector and accused the government of ignoring the issue of climate change in labor and employment. He said that the center has been taking precautions by organizing various programs to minimize the impact of climate change on labor and employment by creating pressure on the government.

He said that climate change has also affected the working hours of workers and said that they are working in the morning and evening as they cannot work during the day. He said that there are additional challenges for workers in the mountaineering sector. He said that the changes in vehicles, unseasonal rains in agriculture have also affected agriculture, adding that the construction sector is at greater risk.

He said that employment is being affected due to environmental impacts. He said that workers are suffering from various diseases due to the effects of climate change.
