Kathmandu. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has called on 13 districts of the Far West and Karnali Provinces to propose self-employment and economic empowerment programs and plans.
The ministry has written to all local levels of 13 districts on Monday, calling on them to propose self-employment and economic-social empowerment projects/programs in the high hilly and mountainous areas.
Accordingly, the ministry has called on all local levels of Darchula, Baitadi, Bajhang, Achham, Doti, Bajura in the Far West Province and Mugu, Dolpa, Humla, Jumla, Kalikot, Rukum Paschim and Jajarkot in the Karnali Province to propose programs and plans by Mangsir 5. According to the ministry, the program has been approved for the current fiscal year 2081/82 through the government’s annual budget and program.
The ministry has also approved the High Hill and Himalayan Region Self-Employment and Economic-Social Empowerment Program Operation Procedure, 2081, to effectively operate the said program.
