Kathmandu. The salary and wage index of employees and workers has increased. According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank till mid-Asoj of the current fiscal year, the salary of employees and workers has increased by 3.36 percent. In the same period of the previous year, such an index had increased by 5.65 percent.
Province-wise, the annual point-wise growth rate of Koshi Province during the review period was 1.24 percent, Madhesh Province was 4.99 percent, and Bagmati Province was 2.95 percent, according to the data of the Nepal Rastra Bank.
Similarly, Gandaki Province was 2.26 percent, Lumbini Province was 3.67 percent, Karnali Province was 5.03 percent, and Sudurpaschim Province was 6.40 percent, according to the bank.
