Subisu Cablenet’s license renewed after paying Rs 313.8 million in arrears

Kathmandu. The license of internet service provider company Subisu Cablenet has been renewed.

The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has renewed the license after the company paid 174.851 million 615 royalties and 138.979 million rupees to the Rural Telecommunication Development Fund (RTDF).

Subisu’s license was renewed for 5 years on Poush 25.

Earlier, the authority had renewed the license of the country’s largest internet service provider company, Worldlink Communication Limited. The NTA had renewed Worldlink’s previous two licenses for 25 years, namely Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Network Service Provider (NSP).

Worldlink had paid Rs 2.15 billion 1.47 billion 552 crore to the Telecommunications Authority. The company had paid the amount after the Supreme Court ruled that Worldlink had not paid the amount due to the state.

According to Santosh Poudel, spokesperson for the authority, Rs 1.38 billion 90 million 12 thousand 225 crore was paid as royalty.
