The school’s principal Govinda Chimauria informed that the laboratory was managed with the support of 1.6 million. According to him, the school, which was established in 2053 BS and started from grade 3, currently has 173 students studying up to grade 8.

The established laboratory was jointly inaugurated by Arjun Bahadur Karki, ward chairman of Namobuddha-4, and 81-year-old Rosalind Russell, director of the foundation. On the occasion, Russell said that since technology-enabled education is a necessity today, he is confident that the establishment of a computer lab in the school will increase the awareness level of the students here.

‘Education is the greatest freedom in the world, technology-enabled education helps in achieving a broader education,’ he said. ‘You students will get technology-friendly education in line with the times, make good use of it, present yourself as an excellent student, best wishes.’

The students are happy with the establishment of a computer lab in the said school. Anisha Lama, the president of the school’s children’s club and a student in grade 8, said she was very happy to learn about computers at her school.

She said, “We either had to go to the market to use computers, or we could only see computer education and use it on our mobile phones. Today, after the American organization established a lab in our school, we are very happy that students studying in community schools can take computer education and practice from a young age.”

Similarly, the organization has provided goats to 25 housewives of Panchkhal Municipality-10 with the aim of helping them earn income. Russell himself distributed the goats at the rate of two per woman.

One of the goats born from those goats will be returned after two years and another group will be formed, informed the organization’s Nepal director Rabindra Sitaula. According to him, the organization has formed 52 women’s groups in Nepal and distributed the goats.
