In the fiscal year 2080/81, the agricultural sector is estimated to contribute 32.80 percent, the industrial sector 16.32 percent, and the service sector 50.88 percent to the gross domestic product of Koshi Province.
Agricultural crop production increased by 1.13 percent
Compared to the previous fiscal year 2079/80, the area covered by overall agricultural crops in Koshi Province has decreased by 1.55 percent in the fiscal year 2080/81. During the review period, rice, The area covered by crops such as maize, millet, potato, soybean, orange, turmeric and others has decreased, resulting in a decrease in the overall area covered by agricultural crops.

The share of the area covered by rice, maize, wheat, and millet crops in the total area covered by agricultural produce is 71.64 percent. In the fiscal year 2080/81, the overall agricultural crop production in this province increased by 1.13 percent.
Compared to the previous fiscal year, vegetable production increased by 1.98 percent, tea production by 0.01 percent, coffee production by 1.23 percent, and honey production by 0.28 percent, while fruit production decreased by 0.94 percent and spice production by 8.03 percent.

Out of 461 workers employed, a total of 16,958 workers were employed in those industries in the financial year under review, which is 8.1 percent less than the same period last year.

In FY 2079/80, 83.2 percent of the total industrial employment in Koshi Province was done by domestic workers and 16.8 percent by foreign workers, while the participation of domestic and foreign workers in total industrial employment in the financial year under review was 91 percent and 9 percent, respectively. .
